What I love About Eric

Today Eric & I are celebrating 8 strong years together.

There are countless things I love about my soulmate, so in celebration of our anniversary, I am sharing this bonus blog mushing 8 reasons why he owns my heart.

#1. He's Respectful & Caring

For starters I must give his parents credit for this. They raised one hell of a man. Not only is he respectful towards others, but most importantly towards myself.
He respects me as his soon to be wife, and he cares so much about my happiness and success. He has been so supportive throughout my changes in career paths, and is always looking out for the best for me.

#2. He's a Hard Worker
I don't think I've ever met someone else who holds on to their vision and works their butt off as much as Eric. He didn't think as your average 18 year old when we first started dating, and he still seems to amaze me 8 years later. He is such a hard worker and goes above and beyond to make sure we reach our goals.
Did you know he sacrificed (sold) his horses to have an apartment ready for my move to Washington? Don't worry babe, we'll get you horses again soon.

#3. He's Funny... Funny Lookin!
Laughter is the best way to Yadi's heart, (& candy) and Eric knows that more than anyone. We love being silly together, and constantly make each other laugh. It has been an aspect of communication that has helped our relationship build a strong foundation. I love how he makes me laugh when we're around his family, or when we're alone. My wish is that he never loses his sense of humor, and that we get to grow to be funny little old people. #goals

#4. He's the Best Dogdad
Dulce & Bandit are so lucky blessed to have him as their Pawpa!
Seeing him be a great father to our fur babies warms my heart so much, because I know that when God allows the time to come, he is going to be the best father to our human babies. Thanks for holding Dulce in her dog purse around the mall when my arm gets tired babe... you the real mvp ๐Ÿ˜˜

#5. He's a true gentleman Cowboy
"Momma's please let your babies grow up to be cowboys"
This ties back to #1 on my list. I just simply love that he's a cowboy. Besides being respectful and caring, he also carries strong family values, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and has a great taste in music. Plus, who doesn't love cowboys?๐Ÿ˜

#6. He's Full of Surprises
It's the small little surprises he goes out of his way for that make me love him.
So babe, please never stop making a stop at the little market on your way home from work,
asking me to close my eyes, lay my hands out,
then open them to a handful of candy, or ice cream, or chocolate, or chips, or an Icee, or a new hat...
Those surprises warm up my little heart, and are the Best!
(y por eso estamos como estamos๐Ÿ˜…)

#7. He Accepts Me... Flaws & All
I'm not perfect, nor do I ever perceive to be... but this man has loved me even with all my imperfections... and still accepts me. From day 1, I have always felt so comfortable around Eric, as if we were together in another life. He knows every side there is to me, from being sweet, to serious, to silly... theres no hiding it from him. It's the best feeling to be able to be myself around him, I mean after all, he is my best friend.

#8. He's a man of Big Faith
I am truly blessed to be able to spend my life with someone who loves God and has so much faith like I do. Eric has taught me to live my life as he does; where anything is possible. We have accomplished and reached so many of our dreams together, and I know we couldn't have done them on our own. Like he says, if there is a will there is a way. And if it's Gods will, it will be for us. We may not ace every test, land every job we wanted, have the house of our dreams, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. It simply means there's a reason those things weren't meant for us at the moment.
God knows the plans he has for us,
"they are plans to give us hope, and a future"

Happy 8 years Eric! I can't wait to be your wife & spend many more!

**Check back in Monday as I take y'all back 8 years.... to how our story began! **
